Happy 6-month birthday, little girl

Annabelle is 6 months old today! These past months have just flown by. It's scary to think that before I know it, we'll be celebrating Annabelle's one-year birthday.

As I write this, Annabelle is lying in her crib WAY past her bedtime squealing, spitting, chatting and laughing with herself. She's having a blast in there. I want to go in there and insist that she go to sleep, but any time I walk in there, it just gets her revved up more! I'm sure her eyes will get heavy soon.

Anyway, she's doing wonderful. She will probably be sitting up on her own soon, and then crawling soon after that. She's so far eaten squash, carrots, sweet potatoes, peas, bananas, pears and peaches. She's not a fan of squash or peas, but she enjoys the rest of them!

She amazes us in some way every day, and of course, always makes us smile or laugh. We're totally in love with her! I took almost 100 pictures today, and couldn't get many smiles out of her. She's too fascinated with the camera and studies it so hard, she forgets to smile. But here are some 6-month-old pictures!

Give me a sip...or a gulp!

One of the cutest things Annabelle has been doing for the last few weeks is drinking from a cup. I didn't think babies her age could do it, but she can! She wants to control the cup herself, but it would end up all over her, so we do it for her. Of course, she helps us with her little dimpled hands and determination.

Whenever we go to a restaurant, we try to keep our water out of her sight, because once she sees it, it's all over. When she finally sees me or Chris take a sip, she grabs for the glass! Then her tongue comes out like a puppy until we cheerfully oblige and give her a sip. She acts like she's been hiking across the desert and is about to die of thirst.

I have to take a picture of this or videotape it soon. It's very adorable to see such a little girl so determined to drink out of a cup!

First Father's Day

Chris celebrated his first Father's Day yesterday with his baby girl. Here are some pictures from it.

OK, so much for this blog thing...

So I've been really, really bad about posting on this blog. But I'm going to try and get back into it. Annabelle will be SIX months old in six days...absolutely unbelievable. Our love for her grows stronger each day. We are having a wonderful adventure with her! So now I need to get busy and keep up with this!
